Contribute to Self Healing Clinic

We invite written contributions that explore real experiences of emotional healing, self-discovery, and personal change. Whether you are reflecting on a past struggle, a turning point, or an ongoing journey, your words can reach someone who needs to know they are not alone.

Your Voice Matters

Guidelines

Contributing to Self-Healing Clinic allows you to share your voice and experiences with others who value growth, reflection, and healing. Your story can help others feel less alone, offer guidance, and inspire those navigating their own journeys of emotional challenges.

Who Can Contribute?

  • Anyone, from anywhere in the world, at any stage of life, is welcome.

  • You don't need to be a professional writer or expert. What matters is your willingness to share authentically and vulnerably.

  • Any stories about personal growth, coping strategies, emotional challenges, behavioural change, resilience, or breakthroughs in self-awareness are welcome.

What Makes a Story Valuable?

  • Your story should be genuine, sharing your real thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Readers connect most with honesty.

  • Reflect on your journey and include what you have learned. Share practical ideas, routines, or approaches that helped you overcome challenges.

  • Paint a vivid picture of your experience to allow readers to empathise and relate.

  • While it is important to show struggles, also include hope, growth, or tools that have helped you navigate difficulties.

  • Use language that is clear, supportive, and inclusive, making your story approachable for a wide audience.

  • You may include personal reflections, such as what you wish you had known earlier in your journey or advice you would give to someone facing similar challenges.

  • Writing Your Story

  • Aim for a word count between 800 and 1,500 words.

  • Focus on a specific experience or series of experiences, sharing details.

  • Build your story towards a clear insight, lesson, or reflection that readers can take away.

  • Avoid links, promotion of services, or references to blogs/books.

  • You may write in first-person present or past tense, choose what feels most natural to your story.

  • If your story contains heavy emotional content, consider adding a brief note or disclaimer to support readers who may be vulnerable.

Submitting Your Story

Send your story to hello@selfhealingclinic.com with a suggested title.

Please also indicate whether you would like to remain anonymous or share your name.

If you choose to share your name, you are welcome to include a short bio of up to 150 words and a picture, though both are entirely optional. Bios should be written in the 3rd person. You are welcome to include a link to your bio.

What Happens After Submission?

  • We aim to respond within 7 days.

  • Submissions may be edited for clarity, grammar, and readability. You will have the opportunity to review significant edits before publication.

  • Publication may appear on our website, newsletters, or other Self-Healing Clinic content.

  • Although there is no financial compensation, your story can inspire and comfort others as they navigate their own experiences.
